I HEART FAKE NAILS

Fake nails, I missed you. Not having to worry about janky, chipped nails for two weeks, the instant attitude and hand talking that comes with you, the added accessory you become. As always, I like to tip toe the line between tasteful and tacky when it comes to my nails, and have a lot of fun with them. With the added advice from the awesome new nail person at Ele Ela International Salon, this awesomeness resulted.

P.S. I like the fact that this salon is right around the corner from my apartment and they always do good work, but they have a tendency to overcharge. I'm scouting a new location, so check back to see what salon(s) make the cut!!!

Women want to feel glamorous. They also want to feel like badasses every once in a while. The fact that this 80s-inspired, super-sparkly connector ring is both made it a necessity for me. VINTAGE JEWEL: BLACK AND GOLD MARVELLA BRACELET

I love this bracelet!!! Classic yet modern in black and gold, it's a reasonably priced piece that you'll wear forever.

DEAL OF THE DAY: VIA SPIGA STRETCH BELT WITH PLAQUE

Although I work at Nordstrom (as a Personal Stylist in the Westfield San Francisco Centre store), it's not bias that makes me giddy over their sales. Check out this awesome vintage-looking belt by Via Spiga, on sale for only $29.90 (originally $58.00). It's also available in black and brown (full price on the site, but on sale in the store, I believe), so go grab one to put over those floral summer dresses!!!

FENDI'S LUCITE PLATFORM PUMP IS PRETTY BUT IS IT FEASIBLE???

I love high heels. They work wonders for your calves and give you a walk that is swaggerific. As a stylist who runs around all day, and hears "Please get me shoes that are no taller than two inches," however, I'm starting to embrace the trend of wedges and cute, lower heels. (P.S. You will probably never see me in kitten heels, though. Ew.) My shoes that are 4 inches and higher are not seeing much daylight and my flats are in constant rotation.

That being said, I'm wondering how much use a woman will get out of shoes that have a 6 1/4" heel. Fendi's Lucite Platform pump is beautiful to look at but is it worth it (especially at $1400) if stunning leads to stunned feet? I'm tired of seeing people teetering awkwardly in shoes they obviously can't handle. I'm also tired of lamenting the days that I decide to go a little higher with my heels. If you can rock it all day, go for it. If not, bring a change of shoes in that huge bag of yours, get some cushions, or just don't go there to begin with. I think it might be time to put away the stilts!!!

Whenever I see something I love and really want, it's my first instinct to write about it under the "I WANT!!! I WANT!!! I WANT!!!" category on "PEEP THE POP!!!" My second instinct is to not tell anyone, especially if it's on sale and/or available in small quantities, in fear of not getting my own hands on it. But that wouldn't make me a good fashion blogger, now would it? So here is my latest "I want" item: Fred Flare's adorable bow cuff. I am an avid collector of cuffs and adore this one because it is so dainty and feminine. The fact that the price has been lowered from an already affordable $14 to $9.99 is the added bonus any shopper hopes for. Click fast, because there's only 3 gold cuffs left (sorry but the silver is sold out!!!).
